Mount Bromo

Start before dawn for the sunrise viewpoint, continue to Widodaren for jeep photos, and walk from the jeep parking area toward Bromo crater.

Trek approximately 3 kilometres from Paltuding toward Ijen. When Blue Fire access is permitted, the hike begins at around 2:00 AM.

Standard Itinerary

Your private Bromo–Ijen journey

The exact route and hotel area are adjusted to your pick-up direction. The following is the standard west-to-east sequence.

Day 1

Pick-up and transfer to the Bromo area

Meet your driver at the agreed pick-up point and travel privately toward the Bromo area. Check in at your hotel around Cemoro Lawang and rest before the early departure.

Day 2

Bromo sunrise and transfer toward Ijen

Depart at approximately 2:00–2:30 AM from the Cemoro Lawang area. Visit Prau Hill or King Kong Hill for sunrise, continue to Widodaren for jeep photos, then walk approximately 20–30 minutes from the jeep parking area toward Bromo crater.

Return to the hotel around 9:00–10:00 AM for breakfast, prepare for check-out, and continue privately toward the hotel selected for the Ijen route.

Day 3

Ijen trek and onward transfer

Travel to Paltuding and begin the trek at around 2:00 AM when Blue Fire access is permitted. The uphill trek is approximately 3 kilometres and normally takes around two hours. The descent normally takes around 1.5 hours.

Return to Paltuding at approximately 8:00–9:00 AM, then travel back to your hotel to shower, pack, and check out before continuing to the agreed drop-off point according to your itinerary.

This keeps the private journey practical while allowing us to adapt the route to your arrival and onward plans.

Arriving from the west

For pick-up from Yogyakarta, Malang or Surabaya, the Ijen stay is normally arranged in Bondowoso before the Ijen trek.

Arriving from the east

For pick-up from Banyuwangi or Bali, the Ijen stay is normally arranged in Banyuwangi and the route can be adjusted accordingly.

Additional transport: Pick-up from Bali or Yogyakarta requires an additional transport charge. The amount is confirmed clearly in the quotation.

No. The Blue Fire visit is included when it is permitted, but weather, volcanic activity or local safety decisions may change access.

Which hotel area will we use for Ijen?
