See the waterfall curtain from above, descend into the valley with a local guide, and extend the journey to caves, quieter waterfalls and the volcanic landscapes of Mount Semeru.
Tumpak Sewu is a broad curtain waterfall in Sidomulyo, Pronojiwo, fed by the Glidik River from the Mount Semeru area. The first experience is the panoramic viewpoint, reached by a relatively short walk from the entrance.
The route to the valley floor is very different. It follows steep stairs, wet rock and sections assisted by handrails or ropes. At the bottom, the scale and sound of the waterfall become the highlight of the journey. A local guide helps select the safest route for current conditions.

Extend the valley walk towards a cave and smaller cascades along the river corridor. The extension adds wet and uneven terrain, so it is arranged according to fitness and local access.
Trek extension
Enjoy a quieter scenic stop in the Pronojiwo highlands. It can be added for travellers who want another landscape without committing immediately to the full Kapas Biru descent.
Scenic stop
Descend a separate steep trail through rural vegetation to a tall, two-tiered waterfall surrounded by cliffs and dense greenery. This is best planned as its own trek.
Separate waterfall trek
Explore village roads and volcanic terrain reshaped by Mount Semeru with a local off-road team. The route changes with river, road and official safety conditions.
Off-road adventure
Spend a simple night outdoors near the Semeru landscape. Camping works best in stable weather and can be combined with a sunrise viewpoint the following morning.
Overnight experience
Visit early for cool highland air and morning views towards Mount Semeru. It is a gentle addition before breakfast and the main waterfall programme.

These are planning examples. Final timing depends on pickup location, trail conditions, weather and the pace of your group.
Expect wet surfaces, steep sections and changing river conditions. Wear shoes with strong grip, carry drinking water and protect electronics from spray. Travellers with limited mobility can still enjoy the upper panorama without descending to the basin.
The guide may shorten or change the route when heavy rain, high water, maintenance or local safety instructions affect access.
